Hey everyone, how are you? I’m a little late uploading this empties post, so I apologise for that. I have been super busy this week and I went back to work on Monday! It’s crazy how tired I have been… I knew I’d be exhausted really as during lockdown I’ve not been used to working, specially since I stand up all day at work. But, I think I am gradually getting more used to it.
I haven’t got LOADS of empties since I haven’t really used as much makeup and things during lockdown, but there’s definitely enough to talk about here.
Josh Wood Colour Uplifting Shampoo & Conditioner for Blonde hair
I used this up a while ago now, which is a good job considering my hair is now soft black not blonde.. I don’t think this combo is anything special. It’s okay – it cleans my hair and there isn’t REALLY anything to complain about, but it just isn’t worth paying extra for this brand when the cheaper ones are very similar. I’d rather pay more and buy function of beauty hair care, or pay less and get Herbal Essences or similar! Also, my conditioner pump was faulty so it was hard to get product out of it. I assume I just got unlucky with that though.
Repurchase? No.
Batiste Dry Shampoo x2
Is there much to say about Batiste Dry Shampoo? It features in a lot of my empties posts, because I do go through it a lot. It really helps my hair look cleaner if it is getting on the greasier days and can extend my hair an extra day before I need to wash it. It’s inexpensive and works!
Repurchase? Yes.
Joico Weekend Hair Dry Shampoo (Gifted)
I was sent this not too long ago to try out along with a few other hair bits. I actually did enjoy this dry shampoo, and would probably use it more often if it was easier to get hold of in stores such as Boots and Superdrug. I have tried quite a lot of dry shampoos, and many are really bad (Aussie, I’m looking at you). This Joico one worked well, and it didn’t leave a white cast in my hair either, which is great.
Repurchase? If I see it in store.
Right Guard Sensual & Oil Shower Gel
The first of three shower gels in this empties. I have used these up along with my partner, so we’ve been through quite a lot! I really like this shower gel as it is much more moisturising than many cheap shower wash products. It really leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated! So I do purchase this one time and time again. It also smells lovely.
Repurchase? Yes.
Radox Life in Full Bloom Shower Gel
I just picked this up when I needed a new body wash, and this Radox one was the one I decided to go for. Cherry Blossom is so nice for springtime, so the scent appealed to me! It was okay, like any other cheap body wash I guess.
Repurchase? Maybe.
Nivea Urban Fresh Shower Gel
I liked the sound of this one because it had anti-oxidants in there which are great when you work/live in a city. Pollution really can affect your skin! I feel like you don’t really notice the goodness anti-oxidants do for your skin though, so this did just seem like any other shower gel. But it was fine!
Repurchase? Maybe.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I can’t remember where I got this from, but I didn’t purchase it myself. I don’t mind the Garnier Micellar water, it works fine when I need to clean up makeup / remove excess makeup. I have always preferred the Nivea Micellar water though, I feel that the Garnier one is more ‘soapy’, and when I follow this with a serum or other product, it can sometimes cause some soap residue to become visual? The Nivea one never seems to cause residue.
Repurchase? Probably not, but I do have another one at the minute.
Nivea MicellAIR Water
THIS one is my favourite micellar water; and the packaging does say 0% residue, which is probably why I find more soapy residue with the Garnier one! This removes everything and leaves my skin feeling clean. It’s also better for sensitive skin. I have likely discussed this one in plenty other empties posts before.
Repurchase? Yes.
GlamGlow Bubblesheet Mask
I tried this GlamGlow mask and this brand always intrigues me. They have a lot of cool sounding masks, that are prettyyyy pricey. The single use sheet masks are obviously more affordable, but they’re still a lot for a sheet mask. I enjoyed using this mask, but I don’t think I would spend premium prices for a single use sheet mask unless it blew me away.
Repurchase? Probably not.
Too Faced Born This Way Loose Powder Mini
I purchased the mini version of the Too Faced loose powder so I could try it out before committing to the full size. I only really set my under eyes & concealed areas, so this mini lasted me a good while! I really seemed to be a fan of loose powder, until I tried this one. It doesn’t look cakey or make my skin look too dry, which is amazing. I picked up the full size a while back.
Repurchase? Yes.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
This is such a popular moisturiser, and for good reason! I wrote a full review on this Clinique moisturiser last year which you can check out if you want more information. I haven’t been using this lately as I’m yet to repurchase it, but I miss it, and will probably repurchase it again soon (though I also love the Origins one I’ve been using too!). I love that this is both very hydrating, but also light weight. It’s one of the best moisturisers I’ve used, so for me it is worth the extra money.
Repurchase? Yes.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
This is another popular Clinique product, so I decided to pick up a mini of this to give it a go. I am surprised that I am not such a big fan of it. It removes makeup well, but it leaves a bit of a greasy residue on my skin which I don’t like the feel of. It also is hard for me to use around my eyes since I wear contact lenses, and this can seems to easily get in my eyes! So whilst I used this up I used a different remover around my eyes.
Repurchase? No.
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara
I don’t use much makeup from Soap & Glory but this mascara is one product that I do really like! It isn’t super volumising or lengthening, but it does give you a little bit of everything whilst still looking pretty natural. It’s a nice one to pick up if you want to achieve that natural look.
Repurchase? More than likely at some point.
That’s all the products in my empties bag at the minute! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe found it useful.

This post completely reminded me that I need to stock up on dry shampoo. Even though I don’t use it that much, I find comfort in just having it around for those days when I need it urgently. Great empties!

aw thank you so much!
I normally use the Bioderma micellar water but I’m on a tighter budget lately so I bought the Garnier one even if I totally agree with you. I’m so excited to get the Nivea one next!

I haven’t used the Bioderma one – I hope you try the Nivea, it’s really good x
Great post! I absolutely Love the clinique moisture surge cream, can honestly say it’s probably done the best for my skin out of the ones I’ve tried. Just so mad that it’s not cruelty free! Would love to know if you’ve found any good alternatives? X

The Clinique one is great isn’t it! AH that is a shame. Clarins have a cruelty free range called my clarins, and they do a huge range of moisturisers so maybe worth checking out. x
Great empties post dear. I like the sound of the Nivea MicellAIR Water and the Clinique moisturiser, two things I need to add to my list next time I do a beauty shop. Thank you for sharing!

Both are great products – I hope you enjoy them x
I love reading empties posts, I think it’s because I’m a little nosey! I love the soap & glory mascara, it’s one of my favourites at the moment. I really want to try out the Clinique moisture surge, I might have to pick up a mini of that as well x

I love empties too haha. Definitely try the Clinique moisture surge if you get chance x
I don’t know how people get through so much product – I’m still using stuff from Christmas 2018 I really want to try the Soap and Glory mascara – a nice natural look in the summer is a winner x

Really!!! Least that will have saved you some money haha. & it’s a lovely mascara x
I’ve never tried the Clinique Take The Day Off balm but I’ve heard so many great things so I was really shocked to see that you didn’t like it. But I love products that leave a bit of residue to help out my dry skin so that makes sense. I love the sound of the Right Guard shower oil, anything that adds a bit of extra moisture in the easiest way possible is a winner for me x

You’ll have to give it a go and see what you think! It’s weird that I don’t like residue since my skin is dry too – I like the add my own moisture haha separately strangely.
& I love the right guard, so affordable too!x
