Hey everyone, I hope July is treating you well so far, and that June went okay! It’s weird to see things going back to normal here in the UK. Pubs and restaurants opened up for the first time last night. I decided not to venture out just yet. Today I want to share with you my June favourites for this year. I have just a few things to discuss, so I hope you’ll find this one useful.
Shea Moisture Hydrating Body Wash & Lotion (GIFTED) (£10.99 each)
I was recently gifted these two Shea Moisture products, and I was really excited to test them out as I am already a fan of the brand after using their hair care products a few times. This body wash & lotion are perfect for dry skin, and they really leave my skin feeling much smoother and softer. The lotion in particular is amazing. I have been applying after every shower. It is a thick consistency and you only need a little bit! I do wish the lotion came in a tub rather than a tube, as since it is thick it is a bit hard to squeeze out of the tube. It’s really more of a cream/butter than a lotion. But I do love it, and so does my skin! Both of these smell incredible – I wasn’t sure what Frankincense & Myrrh would smell like but it turns out its so lovely. I definitely had to include these two in my June favourites.
L’oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water Moisturiser (£9.99)
The first of two moisturisers in my June favourites, but I love them both for different reasons! I like to use this one in the mornings. It’s super lightweight and refreshing, with a water based gel texture. It soaks in the skin quickly which is ideal in the morning when I need to apply makeup shortly after my skincare routine. Due to the hyaluronic acid content, this moisturiser is really hydrating and moisturises the skin on a deep level. I recently began using this product and I’m really glad I did. I have a review I wrote a while back here on my blog if you’d like more info.
Origins Ginzing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream (£25)
The second moisturiser in my June favourites! This one is thicker in consistency as the name suggests. You can also get this one in an oil-free formula, but since my skin is dry I opted for this version. I like to use this in the evenings, or on days when my skin needs something a bit thicker. It feels super hydrating and instantly revives the skin, making it look healthier. It is packed with amazing ingredients such as coffee and of course ginzing, to reenergise the skin. It is a little pricier than the L’Oreal moisturiser, but I love this so much, and would definitely recommend for dry skin that feels tight and sometimes sore.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Mini (£12)
I received this travel size Urban Decay setting spray at a work beauty conference. I didn’t get round to trying it out until June, which actually turned out to be the perfect time to put it to the test! I have been wearing a face mask daily whilst at work, and this setting spray has kept my makeup underneath looking as good as possible. It doesn’t come off so much when I use this setting spray. I will definitely repurchase the full size of this as it is different to my other setting sprays. I find many setting sprays make my makeup look nicer and more skin like, but not many keep my makeup on and in place as well as this one does!
Makeup Revolution Pout Bomb Plumping Lipgloss in ‘Kiss’ (£5)
The final product in my June favourites is this affordable lipgloss from Revolution. I believe these were only quite recently released from the brand. They are marketed as a dupe for the Fenty gloss bomb. I personally have one of those too, and I can’t say they are SUPER similar as the Fenty gloss has little shimmers throughout it, and feels more buttery almost than these. These revolution ones are a little more sticky (not overly sticky in a negative way though). Both look really nice and glossy, and the applicator is very similar. I love wearing gloss these days, and these ones last pretty well, look lovely and are super affordable! The shade I picked is ‘Kiss’ which is a muted dusky pink. I would quite like to pick up a couple other shades now I know I like this! They feel a little minty when you apply them, which I assume is the plumping quality, but I don’t find that this really does plump the lips, at least not very much, but that isn’t something I am bothered about at all!
That’s all for my June favourites! I think all of these products are worth checking out. What have you been using a lot of lately? let me know in the comments!

I love reading monthly favs posts. That lip gloss looks soooo good, I need to try it when I’m next in the UK and can pop to a superdrug. I’ve tried the L’oreal moisturiser before and I love the bottle – it’s so aesthetically pleasing!

I would definitely recommend it x
The gloss looks so pretty, I have three shades of the Fenty one but I do like plumping gloss.
