Hey everyone, I feel as though I’ve been a little M.I.A over the past week or so, but I hope you’ve all been well and I’m back today with a new product review! Today I’m going to be talking about a relatively new release from Too Faced – the Born This Way ‘The Natural Nudes’ eye shadow palette. I’ve been using this one for around a month now and want to share my thoughts and opinions! I recently spoke about this one with a brief ‘first impressions’ on my NEW To My Collection | Makeup & Skincare ‘Haul’ post.
Overview
This Natural Nudes eye palette contains 16 shades – 8 matte, 2 shimmer, 3 metallic and 3 sparkle shades. The price tag is £35 – which is about an average price for a high end eye shadow palette.
Too Faced say this palette is ‘complexion inspired’ by the Born This Way foundation shades, so it will enhance all skin tones.
The formula of the shadows contains coconut water to delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels, alpine rose to help empower skin’s health and radiance, and hyaluronic acid to give a smoother more youthful appearance.
The palette comes inside a box, along with a little leaflet containing 4 different eye look tutorials. The palette itself is sturdy with a mirror, whilst also being quite compact and in my opinion travel friendly.
Review
This Natural Nudes palette is absolutely gorgeous and has lots of wearable shades. It is perfect for everyday, but can also be used for more of an evening look as it has lots of beautiful shimmer shades, along with deep shades to add depth. So although this palette is £35, it is something I know I will get a lot of use out of, and so far I have used it a lot!
The quality of this is so amazing, as you would expect from Too Faced. The matte shades are very pigmented, you won’t need to dig your brush in the pan for colour payoff, alls you need is to dip into the pan just a little, and add pigment bit by bit. The matte shadows don’t go patchy or muddy when applied, they are really soft and blend like a dream looking so smooth. You do get a little fall out, but not much at all so it isn’t a problem for me.
The shimmer/metallic/sparkle are all incredible and provide full coverage on the lid! The sparkle shades feel like pressed glitters that are fully opaque unlike some other glitters.
I love that there is an even number of mattes and shimmers in both light and dark shades – you can easily create a gorgeous look without needing to use any other palettes or shadows.
Overall this palette is a stunning addition to any makeup collection no matter your skin tone. Although neutral shadows and palettes such as this are quite common, this one is one of my favourites I’ve tried as it has absolutely everything I need. I can definitely see myself travelling with this Natural Nudes palette!
Swatches
Although eye shadows perform different on eyes than on swatches, I wanted to share some swatches so you can see the shades properly!
That’s all for this post. What do you think of this Too Faced Natural Nudes palette? Would you be tempted to purchase this one?

It’s gorgeous isn’t it, but it is pretty neutral! x
Oooh this is so pretty! I don’t own a palette that looks like this but I think I need one – I’m too used to my warm oranges and pinks, I need more browns in my collection!
