Bali Body Self Tanning Products | Review & Before + After Pictures!*

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I’m so pleased it’s finally Autumn. With Autumn coming, I thought it was a good time to share a review on some Bali Body tanning products that I was kindly gifted from the brand… since we don’t have the sun for a real tan now!

I’ve been trying out three tanning products from Bali Body: The Self Tanning Mousse in Dark (£25.95), The Face Tan Water (£25.95) and the BB Cream (£25.95). As well as the Luxe Tanning Mitt (£12.95).

The Mousse, Face Tan Water & Mitt came as a set called ‘Original Bronzed‘ which will cost you £51.95, and since it is worth £69.85 you save a good amount of money by picking up the set if you are wanting all 3 items!

Self Tanning Mousse (Dark)

Out of all the products Bali Body sent me this was the one I was probably most excited about! Mousse is my favourite formula for self tan, and after reading the reviews this one sounded like such a good one.
As with all of Bali Body the packaging is so pretty – a matte pink bottle with black writing and a standard fake tan mousse pump.

It’s super easy to apply – I work in sections. After applying moisturiser to any drier patches (such as elbows) and shaking the bottle well, I put one pump onto the mitt and sweep it onto the skin not pressing down too hard! I always start at the bottom of my body and work up; Bali Body suggest to do it this way too but I’m sure whatever way you choose to apply will be fine!
Once I have applied it all over, I leave it to dry before dressing. It does take a little bit of time to dry like most tans do, but it isn’t too bad and doesn’t feel super sticky like some can.

The website indicates how long to leave it on before washing off depending on how much you want it to develop. I usually just apply it in the evening and wash it off in the morning.

I love the tone of this tan – it doesn’t look orange or green tinged (is there anything worse?) it looks bronzed and beautiful! It lasts well on the skin too, longer than the previous brand I was using. One of my favourite things about this tan is that it fades really nicely – it doesn’t seem to turn into dry snake looking skin. Perhaps that is due to the nourishing oils in the formula. It really doesn’t dry my skin out!

BEFORE & AFTER

Face Tan Water
Would you believe me if I said that prior to this I haven’t ever used fake tan on my face? I’ve always been a bit scared about it going patchy / drying me out. This product has totally converted me! I think this is my favourite product that Bali Body sent me.

This is so much easier to apply than I expected – you simply pump the water onto a cotton pad and sweep across the face, ensuring face is completely covered. You can see a layer of liquid on the skin. You need to make sure you wait for your face to dry before applying any other products or moisturiser. It only takes a few minutes!

Of course this fades fairly quickly as you wash your face morning & night. I re-apply it every 2 days! However since it is so quick and easy to apply I don’t mind at all.

It doesn’t dry your skin out at all – it contains ‘anti ageing, skin loving ingredients to purify, hydrate and perfect your complexion. Skincare meets self tan.’

BEFORE & AFTER (Before: bare face. after: Fake Tan Water & BB Cream

BB Cream
Bali Body describe this product as a multitasking beauty cream – a moisturiser, primer, sunscreen, foundation & anti ageing cream. I haven’t used too many BB creams before, though I’ve tried a couple. I was excited to test this one out, specially as I recently went to Castleton on a ‘walking holiday’ and didn’t want to wear full/heavy makeup.

This comes in 4 shades – I have mine in ‘Natural’ which is the second lightest. It works well for me with the other tanning products on but would be a bit too dark without.

The texture of this is kind of a cross between a cream and a mousse – it’s quite thick but easily blends out without feeling heavy. I apply this with my hands. It evens the skin tone out and gives a healthy glow to the skin. it’s perfect if you want to have a no makeup makeup day with a tiny bit of coverage. It won’t cover any blemishes but will help to hide some redness and uneven tone.

It doesn’t give me a full days wear, but it feels lovely and hydrating and smooth on the skin and is super easy to top up since you apply it pretty much as you would a moisturiser. I think this would be so perfect for a beach day! Specially with the added SPF 15.

Overall, Bali Body has really impressed me & I’m going to continue using all of these products. Don’t forget to check out their website for other products!

Let me know in the comments below what you think! Would you try any of these out? Have you used Bali Body before?

Thanks for stopping by!

Jazmin xx

All three of these have been summer staples for me, the BB Cream I actually had it last year too. I’ve never tanned before trying this but it was so easy to use even for a beginner like me. I’m actually wearing it right now and I had it on since the 29th of August and it’s still going strong. I mean not perfect but I can totally squeeze a few more days.
