November Favourites 2020

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all well. I went back to work on Monday after isolating, so I’ve been pretty tired, but I’m glad to be getting back into the swing of things. Today I want to share with you my November favourites. There isn’t a tonne of products to get through this time, but I have a few things to discuss that I have been loving!

Bumble & Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Dry Oil Finishing Spray (£26)
The more products I use from Bumble&Bumble the more I love the brand, and I know some other products have featured in my favourites before! They have some of my favourite hair care products. They are pretty pricey, but some of their things feel so worth it in my opinion. The most recent product I’ve tried and have been loving so far is the Dry Oil Finishing Spray. I spray this on my hair before styling and it adds subtle shine and sleekness without an oily feel. My hair feels soft, super manageable and shiny after using this, and it smells SO INCREDIBLE. I have quite fine hair which gets greasy roots but dry looking lengths. If you have similar hair to me I think you will like this as its super lightweight so won’t weigh the hair down, or make it look greasy like some other products for drier hair. However, if you have pretty frizzy hair that’s thicker, then you might be better going for something like the original invisible oil to tame hair and make it sleek.

ARK Skin Protector SPF 30 primer (£36)
I was gifted this from the brand a while ago. I have always used this as a primer, but in November I started to use it just as an SPF. As much as I love skincare, I’m not always 100% on it when it comes to SPF’s and I know they’re super important so I’ve been trying to wear one every day. I guess Winter is a strange time to start this habit, but it’s as good a time as any since we should be using SPF year round. This one feels nice and moisturising but it isn’t too thick or greasy. It doesn’t seem to leave a white cast on my skin like some SPF’s can. It hasn’t broken me out, which I was worried wearing an SPF every day would, but so far so good! I will definitely continue using this daily as I’ve really found its fitting into my routine well, so I wanted to talk about it in my favourites. ARK are a great brand with some great products.

Bali Body Face Tan Water (£25.95)
This is another gifted item. I love the Bali Body mousse tan and I think I’ve mentioned that one a few times on my blog, but I haven’t spoken all that much about the face tan water. Admittedly I haven’t used it LOADS of times, but every time I have used it I have really liked it so I wanted to make a point of discussing it in my monthly favourites. It’s so easy to apply, just sweep a small amount on a cotton pad across the face. It’s never looked patchy on me, or made my skin look dry. It simply adds a nice amount of colour. I don’t like using standard fake tan on my face, before I tried this tanning water I always just left my face bare when I was wearing fake tan on my body, which was okay when I had foundation on, but looked silly if I didn’t! Now I don’t need to worry. This lasts 2-3 days before having to re-apply, which is pretty good considering I cleanse my skin thoroughly moving and night.

Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Blurring Primer (£32)
I very recently spoke about this one in my New To My Collection | Makeup First Impressions post. But I wanted to include it in my November favourites too. I love having this primer in my makeup collection as I find it quite unique, and I’ve been playing with it quite a lot this November. When you initially blend this into the skin, it feels creamy and almost lightly moisturising. Soon that feeling disappears as this blends right into the skin leaving a silky poreless blurred finish. It looks similar to a silicone primer, but it doesn’t contain any silicone – an ingredient I do try to stay away from in makeup! This acts like a perfect barrier between the skin and makeup, increasing longevity and keeping makeup more flawless. My skin does lean on the dry side, so I do need to make sure my skin is nicely moisturised underneath this since it isn’t a glowy/hydrating primer like I usually go for. But as long as my skin is perfectly prepped, I adore this primer for flawless makeup.

Tatti Lashes in TL39 (£7.95)
I am so pleased I’ve finally found a new go-to lash brand since my old favourite brand shut down. I’ve had these for a while just waiting to be opened, and I finally decided to use them. I thought that these might be a bit too dramatic for me as I am used to more natural looking lashes, however I actually ended up LOVING them. They are multi-layered and wispy, and feel so light on the eyes. I have used these around 5 times now and they still look perfect, so I think I should be able to get at least almost 25ish uses out of them, as the website states. I have ordered some more lashes in different styles from the brand and I’m super excited to give them a go!

That’s all for my November favourites! Have you tried any of these? let me know what you’ve been loving in the comments below.

Thanks so much for reading!

It’s amazing isn’t it? I’m impressed every time I use it. I wish I could be bothered to wear tan every single day x

That primer sounds so interesting, that texture with no silicone?! I need to try. I love the Bali Body tan water too, but for a totally different reason. I find it takes a full day to develop on me, but if I put it on on a morning, it gives my skin a lovely healthy/ fresh glow which is perfect for no makeup days. And if I cleanse and use an acid exfoliator at night, it doesn’t develop at all/ only a tiny bit so it works really well even if you’re not wearing tan anywhere else. I’ve used it like that a lot during lockdown when I haven’t wanted to do a full face. The hair oil sounds incredible too, I love Bumble & Bumble x

I’ll have to try the tanning water that way, specially as I’ve JUST introduced an acid exfoliator into my nighttime routine! Maybe it will wear off quicker now x
