Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I am so busy with work at the moment as I’ve taken on quite a bit of overtime. I am trying to stay as active as I can here on my blog, but forgive me if I am a little more M.I.A in the lead up to Christmas. Today I want to share a review on the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer as I’ve been literally wearing it every single day. It’s become my favourite bronzer & I haven’t spoken about it too much here on my blog, so I wanted to share my thoughts & why I love it so much.
OVERVIEW
The BECCA Sunlit Bronzer comes in 5 different shades, Bali Sands, Capri Coast, Bronzed Bondi, Ipanema Sun & Maui Nights. I have mine in the shade Ipanema Sun, which is described as a medium auburn-brown. It is a darker shade than I would normally choose, but I wanted a shade that would work when I am self tanned.
This bronzer retails for £27, which is an average price for a high end bronzer.
BECCA say that this ultra-creamy bronzer builds a warm, natural, sun-kissed glow on any skin tone. It has a slight sheen to it, for a subtle glow.
REVIEW
As I mentioned, I opted for a darker shade than usual in the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer. I wanted this to work for me when I am self tanned, but it turns out I can also use this when I am not tanned too, which I wasn’t expecting. It has a lovely tone, and despite it being described as ‘auburn-brown’ I wouldn’t say it appears red like some darker bronzers can on fair skin tones. I think this shade, Ipanema Sun, would work for medium skin tones nicely, but if you have a darker tone I would suggest opting for the Maui Nights shade.
I love the finish of this bronzer. The sheen is super subtle, it is barely there. I love this as I don’t love a shimmery bronzer, but that sheen takes the edge off a matte look for me, giving a more natural skin finish.
You can build this up nicely without it going patchy or muddy at all as it has such a creamy texture. It is very easy to add just a little at a time if you just tap your brush off after dipping into the product.
This lasts all day on my skin and doesn’t seem to fade which I am so pleased with! I really recommend checking this out. I’ve been choosing this over all my other bronzers daily and I have fallen in love with it. BECCA are such an underrated brand – if you’d like to see what other products I love by them, then check out my Best of BECCA Cosmetics post!
Thanks so much for reading.
