Hey everyone, I have another collection of empties to discuss in my post today. As you may have seen if you follow me on social media, I have finally launched my own YouTube channel and I chose empties as my first video. I am so excited to have finally began YouTube! I love empties posts, so I thought it was a good option for my first video too. I’d massively appreciate you giving my first video a watch and following me over on YouTube if you’d like to watch my future videos.
Lets get into the empties!
Pantene Hair Biology Full & Vibrant Shampoo & Conditioner (£5.99 each)
I went through this Pantene shampoo & conditioner duo recently. I found these made my hair really soft & silky smooth, which was nice, but it also made me need to wash my hair more often. My hair is naturally quite greasy when it needs washing so if you have drier hair it may be better for you. I did like the amount of moisture it seemed to give the ends of my hair though. The ‘full & vibrant’ range is for fine or thinning coloured hair. My hair is definitely fine so I thought this would be a good one to go for. These are just okay. You get different amounts of the shampoo & conditioner which was a little inconvenient for me. I probably won’t purchase these again unless they’re on offer!
Repurchase? If on offer.
Bumble&Bumble BB Glow Thermal Protection Mist
I love Bumble & Bumble and I used up a couple of minis from them this time! I have looked online for this one and it isn’t on the Bumble & Bumble website, so perhaps it has been discontinued. This mist in the ‘Glow’ range is basically a heat protectant that also adds a little glow into the hair. I found this was just okay. It didn’t do anything other than protect my hair from the heat. The cream ‘bond building styler’ in this range is much better in terms of adding the glow into your hair, and I have the full size of that one which I am currently working through. However, the next product I am going to discuss is better!
Repurchase? No.
Bumble&Bumble Invisible Oil Heat Protective Primer (£12 for 60ml mini)
This is one of my holy grail hair products & I’m so glad I’ve discovered it. I use this primer as my heat protectant, but it also gives me so much more than just that! This really makes my hair feel so soft and smooth and healthy, and it also helps to detangle. It’s perfect if you have damaged hair, like the ends of mine. Even though my hair is pretty fine, it doesn’t feel too heavy for my hair even though it is an oil – most oils are too much for me. I think it’s probably ideal for medium thickness hair, but thinner or thicker can use it too.
Repurchase? Already have the full size.
Batiste Dry Shampoo (£2 for 200ml)
I don’t really need to say much about this one do I? I always go for Batiste dry shampoo as it’s never failed me. Yes it can leave some white cast in the hair, but it isn’t terrible, and it’s so affordable so I will probably just keep buying this one. I would like to try a couple other brands in the future, but for now I’ll just stick to this!
Repurchase? Yes.
Silvikrin Hairspray Maximum Hold (£2.69 for 250ml)
I always tend to go for this hairspray as you will know if you have read my previous empties posts! I go for this one as I know it works and it is really affordable. I haven’t tried too many hairsprays, so there could well be something better, but in all honesty this performs really great for me! It doesn’t make my hair crunchy or sticky and it brushes out nicely. It does hold a curl well too, though my hair doesn’t hold one perfectly so it isn’t a miracle worker!
Repurchase? Yes.
Dove Caring Bath Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla (£3.49 for 450ml)
I picked this up a while ago to use in baths, however I don’t tend to have as many baths as I thought I would… so I have been using this to shave my legs! It works fine as that, it is pretty moisturising and leaves my skin feeling smooth. The scent of this one is lovely – it’s so comforting and luxurious. I have another one of these in a different scent in my shower at the moment, I probably bought them as 2 for 1.
Repurchase? Maybe.
Nivea Fabulous Hibiscus Shower Gel (£1 for 250ml)
As always, I just picked this one up because it is really cheap & does the job. I prefer a gel texture in the shower – I feel like they clean better and are more refreshing almost. This one smelt lovely of pink grapefruit.
Repurchase? Probably at some point.
Soft & Gentle Orchid & Passion Flower Anti-Perspirant (£2.75 for 250ml)
I’m pretty sure I picked this one up because it was on offer! As much as I want to be one of those people that use roll ons, I’m just always gravitating towards the sprays as they’re easier and quicker in my opinion. I think this one performed really well as it didn’t leave white marks like a lot of sprays do! It also didn’t irritate my skin at all. I much prefer this to the Nivea one I am currently using.
Repurchase? I think I will!
Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy (£9 for 25ml)
I don’t have the driest of hands, but I still like to have some hand cream in my handbag and by the side of my bed. I have FINALLY used this one up. I have had it for 2 years now… so it was about time. I think this one was great as it soaked into the skin super super fast and it smells so nice of fresh linen. If you have particularly dry hands this one may not be enough for you. But if you hate that residue / greasy feel on your hands but still want to use a cream, then I think you’d enjoy this!
Repurchase? I have so many hand creams at the minute, so no.
Garnier Micellar Water (£5.99 for 400ml)
I always have some Micellar water in my skincare collection and I know it has featured in a few empties posts before. I don’t go through it anywhere near as much as I used too, but I still do make my way through them! I actually prefer the Nivea one, despite this Garnier one being the most popular (I think), but this one is still good. I use this to remove makeup sometimes on cotton pads, or I use it to neaten up eye liner, or to remove excess eye makeup at the end of the day.
Repurchase? I’ll probably go for Nivea, but I’m sure I’ll use this again.
Superdrug Cotton Pads (£1.89 for 100)
I really need to stop using cotton pads and switch fully to reusable. Whilst I do use reusable ones, I don’t have enough and I always have some cotton pads on hand too. I do go through them a lot slower than I used too, so small wins I suppose. These Superdrug ones are fine, they don’t leave little bits of cotton on the face.
Repurchase? Probably but I need to get more reusable ones!
Johnsons Makeup Be Gone Cleansing Wipes (£3.19 for 25 wipes)
Makeup wipes… another product I should be leaving in 2020 but haven’t. I have only used ONE pack from the end of September until now, which is amazing considering how much I used to use these. I used to have multiple in every empties post! I used them every day in the past. Now I only use them when I am being lazy and can’t be bothered to fully double cleanse. I will just use this wipe to remove my makeup, then I will go in with a cleanser. These are perfectly wet and remove makeup well. Wipes are so quick & easy so I can see the appeal and why I still use them, however they aren’t good for the planet.
Repurchase? I have some more already.
Caudalie Purifying Gel Cleanser (£16 for 150ml)
I can’t really remember how or where I got this mini Caudalie cleanser but I used it up! I wasn’t a big fan of this one. It felt a bit stripping on my skin and it smells like soap. It is for combination or oily skin, and I have more normal to dry skin, so I’m not surprised that I didn’t like this one. Maybe if you have very oily skin this will be more for you.
Repurchase? No.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (£27 for 200ml)
If I had to choose just one cleanser, I think this would be it. It just works so well for my skin. I love the thick creamy texture, it feels really comfortable on the skin and doesn’t strip it at all. This makes my skin feel really soft, fresh and clean. It hasn’t ever broke me out or irritated my skin. I like to remove this with the Liz Earle cloths as I think they pair perfectly with the cleanser, but you can use any cloth really!
Repurchase? Already have.
Origins Ginzing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream (£25 for 50ml)
I mentioned this one in my Current Skincare Faves blog post a while ago, so we already know I loved this one, but of course I still needed to include it in my empties. This is a thick cream based moisturiser that works well for my normal to dry skin. If you have dull skin then I think you’d really enjoy this one, it was perfect for waking my skin up in the mornings. Origins also have an oil free version of this one which I haven’t tried, but may be better for you depending on skin type!
Repurchase? I’ve won another one of these at work!
Eyeronic Lashes in Moana
Okay so I should probably stop mentioning Eyeronic Lashes in my empties posts as they are no longer a business that make lashes! I bulk bought a few styles before they went out of business. I’ve always been a natural lash kind of person, so these Moana ones were ideal. However I am now more into a fuller lash!
Repurchase? I can’t.
Velour Lashes in Sunshine & Whispie (£23.99)
I really liked these Velour lashes, but they are pretty expensive. They are more of a fuller lash and they looked really glam! I got quite a lot of uses out of these before having to throw them away. I would maybe repurchase them again, but I have recently been using Tatti Lashes and I love them even more!
Repurchase? Maybe one day.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19)
I have been using this concealer for years and years now. I used to use it under my eyes but now I only use this on my eye lids as a base for eyeshadow. It is fine for that, it covers up the veins and discolouration well and it doesn’t seem to crease under eyeshadow. I have mine in the old packaging, and I am not sure if they have changed the formula with the new packaging or not, but I hope not. I still have one more in my makeup collection before I will need to repurchase any eye bases.
Repurchase? I probably will, but I’d like to try some actual eye bases too.
Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer (£25)
Two concealers in one empties post?! This concealer is a ride or die product for me now, and I use it every single time I do my makeup without fail. This has a perfect creamy texture that doesn’t look dry or cakey under the eyes, yet it covers absolutely everything! I have dark under eyes with fine lines and this is the best concealer I have used hands down. I have mine in the shade Snow, which is basically the same as my skin tone which I love, as I don’t like a brightening concealer anymore as it seems to only emphasise my troublesome under eyes. I can’t see a day when I won’t use this, it is my absolute fave!
Repurchase? Yes, always.
Thankyou so much for reading my empties post & don’t forget to check out my Youtube channel too, I would so appreciate it!
Jazmin xx
I love these! Such a cute post. To be honest, that micelar water irritated my skin and left me with spots, so I use it to clean my trainers when they need a wash! (might be put to good use at least)

Haha that’s a good idea – at least you get to use it up! I do prefer the Nivea one to the Garnier one x
