Hey everyone, I hope you’re all well! I am going back to work tomorrow, so I’m going to have a little less time to put into my blog & YouTube channel, but I will still be making sure I upload regularly. It will be good to get out of the house in some ways! Today I am going to do a first impressions review of the new Too Faced Kitty Likes To Scratch on-the-fly eye shadow palette. I have also pre-filmed a YouTube video testing out this, and lots of other new Too Faced products. So keep your eyes peeled for that one. If you haven’t already subscribed to my YouTube channel, you can do so here!
Overview
The Too Faced Kitty Likes To Scratch eyeshadow palette has 8 shadows. 3 of them are matte, 4 of them are shimmer & 1 is a matte shade with glitters through it. As you can see, this palette is quite a neutral, looking, every day kind of palette.
Too Faced recently released quite a few of these smaller palettes. I have this one, and the ‘That’s My Jam’ one.
This Kitty Likes To Scratch palette costs £22, which is the same price as all of the mini Too Faced palettes. I don’t think this is a bad price for 8 shadows from a high end brand… as long as they perform well and I get plenty of use out of them!
The packaging is the typical tin that Too Faced tend to use. It also comes in a box with the same design on as the palette. The shade names are on the box. This palette is meant to smell like Tequila Sunrise, but honestly I can barely detect a scent..
Review
So of course this is a first impressions review, so I have only used this palette a handful of times – the first time on camera so you can check that out when it goes live to actually see them work.
The quality of these shadows are of course, great! Too Faced eyeshadows (especially in the newer palettes) is amazing. The matte shades and pigmented but blend out really nicely. I was shocked by how pigmented the black shade ‘Power Ballad’ is. I added too much the first time I was using this, so be sure to tap the brush off well!
The shimmers are gorgeous too – I like to apply them with my finger. I have tried them with fix+ and it does help intensify them as expected, but for me it isn’t worth the extra effort!
Overall I think this Kitty Likes To Scratch palette is such a lovely option if you’re looking for a small handy palette to have which contains nice neutral every day shades. I can definitely see myself reaching for this a lot, and even travelling with it (when we can travel again).
