Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well & that January treated you well. I uploaded my January Roundup Youtube Video today which I’d love you to watch if you want to hear about my top faves in beauty, books, tv & more. In my blog post today I wanted to share with you a new simple glam everyday makeup look that I’ve been wearing a lot lately. I haven’t shared a makeup look/tutorial here for a while, so I thought it would be a good idea to.
BASE: To prime the skin I chose to use a combination of two primers. Firstly, I used the Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer (£26). I find that this primer helps keep my makeup looking nice for longer! I then added some of the Too Faced Hangover Primer (£28) to keep my skin nice and hydrated.
For foundation I chose the Too Faced Born This Way Matte Foundation in Swan (£29) . It’s no secret that I adore this foundation – it looks flawless on the skin. I used the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection brush – this brush is a game changer!
To prep my under eyes I first colour corrected with two products. Firstly the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector (£21), and then the Smashbox Color Correcting Stick in Look Less Tired Lite (£18). I tapped both of these out with a finger. To conceal & contour I used two shades (Snow & Honey) of the Too Faced Born This Way concealer. Again, one of my ride or die makeup items. I used the Real Techniques beauty sponge to blend out the concealer & the Real Techniques buffer brush for the contour.
I set the concealer areas of my face with the Too Faced Born This Way Loose Powder in Translucent (£24) on a Real Techniques contour brush. Then with a big fluffy Spectrum brush, I set the rest of my face with the Too Faced Pressed Powder Foundations in Cream Puff (£29).
To bronze I used the Fenty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz (£25). I love this bronzer as it doesn’t add too much product at a time which means you get a lovely seamless application & it never looks patchy. I used a Spectrum A05 for this! With a Wet n Wild contour brush I applied Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Blush (£30) – I love this blush but I never seem to reach for it. I love the way it looks & applies so I need to remember to use it more. To highlight the high points of my face I used Benefit Cookie Highlighter (£27), with the brush that comes inside the box.
EYES: The star of this simple glam everyday look is the gorgeous Becca Light Gleam Primer & Topper Liquid Eyeshadow in Lunar (£21). This is such a stunning product, and it is so easy to use too. I simply swipe on the ‘primer’ side and pat it out with my finger, then do the same with the ‘topper’ side. It creates a pretty look in seconds! I added a small wing using the Benefit Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner (£19.50). This eyeliner is just about starting to dry out, but it has lasted me SO long. After applying some Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara (£8.99), I used the Too Faced Better Than Sex False Lashes in Drama Queen (£14). They are a new launch from Too Faced & they’re gorgeous!
LIPS: To complete the makeup look I used the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in London (£4), paired with Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer in Mocha Pop (£18) & Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss & Hydration in Coconut Pop (£18).
Finally I spritz the Becca Skin Love Glow Shield (£22) to allow all the makeup to mesh together nicely!
That’s everything for this simple glam everyday look! What do you think of the completed look!?
Thank you so much for reading,
Jazmin xx
