Hey everyone, just like that another month has passed (almost) and it’s time for my March Favourites! I don’t have loads of products to discuss this month but I still have a few discoveries that I want to mention. March passed so quickly for me, and I’ve felt quite busy this month. Hoping April will bring happiness as the UK starts to edge closer to ‘normality’ after a whole year of restrictions.
Lets get into the March Favourites!
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (£37)
During March I decided to finally pick up this foundation as I have been wanting to test it out. I haven’t used much from the brand NARS but I always hear great reviews, so I definitely want to begin experimenting with more of their products. I did a whole Youtube video wear test on this foundation if you’d like to check it out. I have worn it more since then and I can really see this becoming one of my favourites go to’s. It provides great coverage, looks natural but glowy on the skin without being oily and it just looks flawless for a long time! One of my favourites foundation discoveries in a while.
KVD Beauty Go Big or Go Home Mascara (£20)
It’s been a while since I discovered a new mascara that I love! I have been using this one lately and the more I use it the more I love it. It creates such fluttery lashes that still have volume without clumpiness. It doesn’t smudge or transfer which is amazing for me and I tent to get that quite a lot. It is also completely vegan and cruelty free. The wand is fiber bristles that really catch every lash. It doesn’t feel scratchy to apply. I prefer these kinds of wands to plastic so it is ideal for me. I definitely recommend checking this out.
YSL Touche Eclat Illuminating Pen Concealer (£27)
I have had this classic product in my makeup collection for ages now and I really was not a fan. To me is seemed pointless and I never reached for it. However I have truly fallen in love with it this month so I definitely wanted to feature it in my March Favourites. I have quite dark under eyes that crease a lot, so this low cover pen never seemed like enough. However due to masks, I have been opting for a very minimal makeup look for work and day to day. I have used this under my eyes to brighten the area a little and make me look awake, and it has done just that! Now of course it won’t cover all the darkness, however the illuminating affect really brightens the area. It doesn’t crease which is amazing and allows my face to look so natural whilst also giving me that little bit of help to look more put together. If you’re wanting a super minimal look, but also want to disguise the under eye darkness a little, I honestly recommend trying this out.
Colourpop x Raw Beauty Kristi Super Shock Shadow in Mycelium ($7)
I placed a Colourpop order not too long back and this single shadow was one of the items I decided to get. I’m not usually a big fan of single shadows as I tend to reach for palettes way more often, so it has to be a special shade to get me to reach for it. I have loved this super shock shadow in the shade Mycelium so much – it works so well with so many different makeup looks and it is easy to swipe on the eye on top of other shades etc. It is a lovely pale gold shimmery/glittery shade that doesn’t look yellow! The texture is lovely – so creamy and easy to apply. I wish Colourpop was easier to get hold of here in the UK.
The Ordinary Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil (£8.10) & Cold Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil (£5.90)
I picked up these two oils from The Ordinary recently and I have been using them as hair oils. I haven’t tried them on my face at all yet, but for my hair I really have been enjoying these, and as I mentioned in my February Favourites, I have been focusing on hair health more lately. I saw them recommended by Abbey Yung on YouTube and her hair is absolutely goals so I of course had to copy her. I like to apply both of these oils through my hair about 20/30 minutes before washing it once a week. It helps to nourish the hair and makes it feel really nice and soft. It feels like a nice treat for my hair, and the oils are affordable which is great.
That’s all for my March Favourites! I hope you all had a great month and have a great April as well! Thanks so much for reading.
