Top Makeup Picks For Spring!

Hey everyone, I hope you’ve all been well. We’re now well into April & with that we are finally in Spring! Winter felt long this year and I am so ready for some warmer weather. Although we have been having bursts of snow here… Nevertheless I wanted to share some of my favourite makeup products which I think are perfect for Spring, especially as the lockdown here is coming to the end and we can all finally make a few more plans and get out the house more.

Smashbox Vitamin Glow Primer (£30)
I love this primer for a perfectly glowy and hydrated base. In spring, I prefer a dewy skin finish that is in no way matte! This primer really brightens the skin immediately and over time as it contains vitamin B, C & E which leads to a healthy bright glow. It feels really refreshing on the skin which is amazing. Makeup applies lovely on top of this too as it is so smooth & hydrating.

Clinique Even Better Glow Foundation (£28.50)
I haven’t used this foundation for a while now as it isn’t the best match for a face mask, and for work I have to wear a face mask all day. However, I am looking forward to using this more during spring for beer gardens & park dates! This has a low to medium coverage and a super dewy glowy finish. I love how healthy this looks on the skin. I like to use a foundation with slightly less coverage during the Spring/Summer months. I like this one in particular because it isn’t TOO sheer and it still covers what I want to be covered.

BECCA Sunlit Bronzer in Ipanema Sun (£27)
I didn’t know whether to include this BECCA bronzer in this post as I know they are going out of business in September this year, however, you still have a couple of months to get your hands on this one, and I do think it’s worth it! This bronzer isn’t too matte – it gives a subtle sheen on the skin without looking glittery or over the top. I like the natural glow from within look during Spring and that’s exactly what this bronzer gives me.

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Cream Blush in Summertime Wine (£19)
Cream products are so much more popular now than ever before, and although I’m not fully cream obsessed (yet) I do have a couple of cream products that I love. This Fenty blush is definitely one of those. This blush blends and melts into the skin so nicely without looking powdery. As Fenty say, this makes you look like you’ve been getting ‘sun, sleep and plenty of water.’ I have mine in the shade Summertime Wine which is quite a bold shade. I would definitely like to pick up a couple of different shades in this to try out in Spring/Summer.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk (£30)
Although a cream blusher is a great option for Spring, I do think some powder blushes work amazingly too. This Charlotte Tilbury option is absolutely stunning. Even though it is powder it does not look powdery on the skin either, it gives a luminous sheen and glow. The two tones work well together to give a light mauve pink wash of colour.

Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in Rose Gold (£36)
This is a newer edition to my makeup collection and I cannot wait to play with this more in Spring as I think it’s going to be perfect. These highlighters are all quite natural/subtle. The palette contains two different formulas, intense & metallic, however they all come off pretty similar on the skin. They build up nicely on the skin so you can achieve a more intense look, but they are mostly just quite subtle! I think this is perfect for the Spring time as I think a more ‘glow from within’ look looks nicer than a glittery look (in my opinion). The shades in here are gorgeous too and I know I will be reaching for this palette a lot in the coming months.

Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshade Palette in Light (£27)
Huda Beauty make some of the best eyeshadows. The formula is amazing. The mattes are creamy and blendable whilst the shimmery shades are intense! This palette is another more recent addition to my makeup collection. The light pink & neutral tones are going to be my go-to’s in Spring as they are ideal for every day in the sun!

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fussy (£17)
This gloss is super popular and for good reason. I love how smooth and hydrated this makes the lips look and feel. It’s not sticky at all and actually feels pretty balmy. I love gloss all year round, but particularly in Spring! Fussy is a pretty pink shade with some fine glow in there which will work well with the other products I have mentioned in this post.

Smashbox Gloss Angeles in 72 and Honey (£16)
If you prefer a more opaque gloss then Smashbox have these amazing Gloss Angeles ones! I have mine in this lovely nude colour. I don’t find this one sticky either, though it is less balm like than the Fenty option. This shade is gorgeous and works well with so many other products and colours.

That’s all my top Spring makeup recommendations! What are your fave products for this season?

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Jazmin xx

This sounds like such a lovely, glowy Spring combo! I need to try the Fenty cream blush.. Only tried their cream bronzer and it’s not half bad.
