Too Faced Teddy Bare Palette | First Impressions Review & Swatches

Hey everyone, how have you all been since I last uploaded a post? It’s been a couple of weeks! The sun & heat is absolutely boiling this weekend, so I hope you’re all staying hydrated & applying plenty SPF. Today I want to share my first impressions review of the Too Faced Teddy Bare ‘Bare It All’ palette. I wasn’t sure if I was going to pick this up because I do have a couple of neutral palettes that I love and use a lot, but I decided to go for it as neutrals are my favourite and Too Faced is one of my favourite brands. I haven’t actually been purchasing as much makeup as normal since switching my job to something not makeup related, and plus I’m working so many more hours I have less time to enjoy makeup. So this palette had to be pretty special for me to take the plunge.

OVERVIEW

The Too Faced Teddy Bare palette contains 14 different shadows. 10 are matte and 4 are multi-dimensional metallics. This palette retails at £32 which is average for a high end eye shadow palette.

The palette itself is really compact – smaller than you may imagine looking on Too Faced’s website. I like this as it is a bit easier to store, and travel with. It contains a mirror which is always handy, and comes in metal packaging. The shade names are on the back of the palette.

Too Faced love to use scents in their products. The shadows smell like honey graham crackers (it smells so good) and the shadows themselves are made with Manuka Honey and cinnamon.

Too Faced say that ‘these sensual shades were formulated to feel smooth and buttery against your skin while they deliver high-impact seductive colour for looks that range from bare-ly there to pawsitively sexy.’

REVIEW

I absolutely love the neutral colour story in this Too Faced Teddy Bare palette. It is perfect for day to day wear, as well as evening wear. You can do so much with this palette, as long as it’s something more neutral you’re wanting to achieve!

The formula of the shades is amazing. The matte shades are really buttery and creamy and they blend so nicely. In my swatches two of the mattes look a little patchy: ‘Boop’ which is a deeper brown shade with purple tones, and ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy’ which is lighter brown shade. However, I have used both of these shades on my eyes with brushes and they don’t look patchy at all and are actually super easy to work with.

The metallic shades are incredible – I really feel that Too Faced stepped up their shimmery game with this palette. They really pack a punch, as you can see in the swatches!

I’m really pleased I made this purchase, and with trying to be a little more careful with what I buy and what I don’t buy, I think I made the right decision and will use this a lot.
