Hey everyone, how are you all? I’ve not uploaded a new post in a couple weeks now as I’ve been super busy! But I wanted to write a post today which is inspired by one of Manny Mua’s latest YouTube videos. These are the makeup products that I literally use on a daily basis, but I don’t always include in my favourite’s etc because they’d be in like every single favourites post ever if I did that. So if you want to see the things I reach for alllll the time, then just keep reading!
PRIMER
I’m the kind of person that tends to use more than one primer at once… I like to mix them to achieve what I’m going for, and whilst I have quite a few that I really love and think are amazing, I have two primers that I use all the time and reach for daily. Firstly I have the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer (£24). This one really hydrates my skin and leaves it feeling sooo silky smooth, and having a drier skin type, that’s exactly what I need every single day. Secondly I have the Urban Decay All Nighter Primer (£27). This one feels pretty hydrating too, but I use it mostly because I feel like it adheres makeup to my skin for so long and really gives me that longevity that I feel so many other primers can’t achieve.
FOUNDATION
Again, I have so many foundations that I love, plenty I’ve spoken about so much here on my blog, but these are the ones I reach for the most! The Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation (£27) is such a dream and it’s the one I use when I am tanned. It gives me full coverage but looks super natural on the skin at the same time. It’s really long wearing when paired with a good powder etc, and I always feel safe in the knowledge it will look good all night long. My day time option is usually Too Faced Born This Way Matte Foundation (£31). Although this is ‘matte’ it really isn’t overly matte and instead looks fairly natural. It gives me good medium – full cover and stays on all day. I wear it to work every day and it hasn’t failed me yet! So these are the two foundations I trust the most.
CONCEALER
For concealer it’s very easy. I have a few concealers that I do like, but nothing compares to the Too Faced Born This Way concealer (£25). No doubt you’ve heard a lot about this concealer, because it is super popular, but I use this all the time and it’s probably never going to be replaced by any other concealer. It’s so creamy, full coverage, doesn’t sink into fine lines, looks healthy, and it’s just amazing! If you haven’t tried this yet, I urge you to just give it a try and I’m sure you’ll fall in love too. I also use this concealer in a deeper shade for contour which I recommend trying too!
POWDERS
It’s crazy to me now that in the past I never used a loose powder… now I could definitely not live without them. I have a few that I really rate, but my favourite loose powder which I use all the time is the Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder (£24). When I first got this I was kind of on the fence as I found it kind of drying, however now I’ve fallen in love with it and I can’t understand why I ever thought that… maybe my skin was extra dry when I first tried it? This sets my face really well and keeps the skin looking smooth. I use it literally every day. The packaging is a bit messy, but I can deal with it!
I also use the Too Faced Born This Way Pressed Powder foundation (£28) every day! My makeup stays on so much nicer when I use a pressed powder on a big fluffy brush over liquid foundations and if you’re not currently do this, I recommend giving it a go! This Too Faced one gives me slight bit of a coverage as well even with a light dusting.
BRONZER
As I’ve already mentioned, I use the Too Faced concealer in a deeper shade to contour & bronze up a bit every day, but I also top that up with a powder bronzer. My go to is definitely the Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Ipanema Sun (£27). I don’t know what I’m going to do when Becca completely go off the shelves because I have so many products from them that I really love! The shade I have in this is pretty dark, but you can slowly build it up and achieve pretty much whatever level of bronze you want. It goes on super smoothly and never goes patchy! I love the natural finish of it, it has a slight sheen so it’s not completely flat, but it also isn’t too much.
BLUSH
I’m so into blush these days and I have lots of them in my collection, however I have some that I go back to time and time again and use all the time. Firstly, the Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop (£19) has been my favourite for a long time. It’s really vibrant without making me look like a clown as it defuses out so nicely and smoothly on the skin. The shade ginger pop is so gorgeous, nice and peachy! Another blush that I can’t keep my hands off at makeup time is the Nars Orgasm Blush (£26). I have a mini of this, but blush literally takes so long to use up that this mini one is doing me just fine for now. This one gives your cheeks that little bit of glow which is stunning, and there is a reason this blush is so popular. The Nars one isn’t as pigmented as the Clinique one, so it depends how blushed I want to be!
HIGHLIGHT
There’s two highlighter’s that really stand out to me in my makeup collection that I use SO MUCH. Firstly, a newer addition that I am so glad I purchased and can tell it’s so much better than others I have used is the OFRA x Steph Toms Milk and Cookies Highlighter (£27). This gives me such an intense glow, but it also melts into the skin like butter making it look more natural and skin like than other highlighters. I use both the light & darker shade mixed together, but it’s nice to have both options! I think this product is going to be discontinues as Steph Toms no longer wants to work with the brand; but I still wanted to mention this highlighter as it’s an amazing product and formula. The other highlighter that I ADORE is the Benefit Cookie Highlighter (£27.50). This one is a pink Champagne shade which gives a pearly wet looking glow. It’s so so stunning and I think it would look amazing on many skin tones.
EYESHADOW
I think eyeshadow is what I have the most of in my collection. I have far too many in all honestly. I often reach for neutral colours unless I’m wanting to go all out with colour. Firstly, I want to mention the new Too Faced Teddy Bare Bare It all palette (£32) which I recently reviewed on my blog. I haven’t had it long, but I can already tell it’s one of my all times favourites. The shades are neutral with little hints of pink and every single shade is right up my street. It’s all I’ve used since I picked it up. Of course the formula is amazing, creamy bendable mattes and super high impact metallics. The other palette which is on parr is also from Too Faced and actually probably quite similar… but I use it allll the time, and that is the Too Faced The Natural Nudes Born This Way Palette (£36). Again, the colour story is right up my street and it’s ideal for every single day, but can also take me into the evening. Of course I have so many palettes I love, but these two are definitely the ones I use most.
MASCARA & EYELINER
I thought I’d pair these two categories as I only have one product from each worth mentioning. I have so many mascaras, and I try to use them up, but I have one long time favourite that I will continue to purchase one and over – that is the Maybelline Lash Sensational (£9.99). This is just my staple mascara that gives me volume, length and longevity! It never smudges or crumbles, and it’s also an affordable option! (Honorary mention to the KVD Go Big Or Go Home mascara (£20) if you love fluttery lashes with volume, because that one is amazing.) In terms of eyeliner, I always use the Benefit Roller Liner (£19.50). This one is super black and lasts so well! It is a felt tip style which I find easiest to work with, but it is also super fine letting you achieve a pretty sharp wing.
BROWS
When it comes to brows I have one product that I’ve been using for years now and I love it a lot! That is the Benefit Brow Zings Palette (£27). It contains a powder and a wax, along with a little brush & mini tweezers! I have had the same palette for years and I’ve not even hit pan.. it’s like a magical little palette that never runs out. I personally like quite filled in brows, so this type of product is amazing for me. You can get it in a number of shades but mine is in 5 which is pretty dark. I also more recently have also been using the Benefit Gimme Brow (£22.50) to add some definition and fluffy appearance to my brows.
LIPS
A good pinky nude is always my go to, and I have a few products I can’t live without! Firstly I love the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Gloss (£22) I always apply this before any other products to help plump my lips up before using lipsticks etc. This is the only lip plumper that works and I’ll always repurchase this now! My go to lip combo is the Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick (£17.50) (which comes off as a deep nude with hints of pink on me), with the Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fussy (£17) on top, which helps to emphasise the pink tones of the lipstick whilst also giving me a super glossy buttery finish! When it comes to lip liners, I have a few I rotate between so I don’t have any that I absolutely couldn’t live without.
That’s all for this post… and it was a very long one! I hope you’ve found this post interesting/useful! Let me know in the comments if you use any of these products, & what products are your absolute go-to’s!

I love posts like this, we focus on recent favourites so much but it’s really nice to look at those faithful ones we reach for all the time. This was so interesting because we have such different opinions on a lot of these products. I find the Born This Way concealer so heavy and settles into absolutely everything if I wear it with another liquid product, love it if I’m using a powder foundation though. Crazy how things work so differently for different people even with a similar skin type x
