2021 Yearly Makeup Favourites

Hey everyone, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. Today I wanted to share with you my yearly makeup favourites from 2021! I have selected just a few products which I began using and fell in love with this year. I haven’t included products that I was loving prior to 2021, as I have lots of staples that have been with me longer than a year. If you want to hear about other products I love, you can check out my yearly favourites from 2020, and from 2019.

Urban Decay all nighter Primer (£27)
This has quickly become one of my go to primers. I find this primer to be moisturising for the skin, whilst also providing some grip and slight stickiness to allow foundation to stick to it well. Most primers I use don’t tend to increase the longevity of my makeup, however I really think this one helps my makeup stay looking nicer for longer.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (£37)
One of my favourite discoveries of 2021 has been this NARS foundation! I have written a full review of this one here on my blog if you’d like to check that out. But this foundation is perfect – it gives full coverage with a natural skin like finish. It gives me some radiance as the name suggests without looking greasy. This lasts so nicely on the skin throughout the day, and although it is slightly more pricey that other options, I think it is worth it!

Urban Decay all nighter Setting Spray (£26)
Another from Urban Decay is the setting spray! Can you believe I only tried this one in 2021? It’s been a really popular best seller for so long. I’m glad I finally gave this one a go. I love a setting spray to help all the powders mesh together nicely to create more of a skin finish than a powdery makeup one. However this one does this, as well as increasing the longevity of my makeup which is amazing.

OFRA Milk & Cookies Highlighter (£27)
I wasn’t sure if I should include this product in this post as I can’t seem to find it online in the UK anymore, and I know Steph Toms pulled her name from this (it was originally a collaboration) due to an OFRA scandal. However this is a product I have loved during 2021, so I still wanted to include it. This highlight has two tones, a light shade and a medium shade. I love to mix the two together! This gives such a gorgeous, pretty intense glow. The formula is so good – super buttery and soft. This was the first OFRA highlighter I have tried but I’m sure the others are amazing too judging by this formula.

Too Faced Peach Bloom Cheek & Lip Tint (£18)
A product which surprised me this year is this cheek tint from Too Faced. I decided to try this out as I am a big fan of Too Faced and this turned out to be amazing. This gives such a juicy finish to the cheeks! I have mine in the shade Grape Pop Glow, which is a berry purple tone which is different to all the other blushes in my collection. This gel texture blends out so nicely without sticking to any patches on the skin and without disturbing the makeup underneath. The packaging is super cute, but it is quite young looking.

Too Faced Teddy Bare Bare It All Palette (£32)
Another product from Too Faced that’s firmly made it into my 2021 yearly favourites is the Teddy Bare palette! This is definitely my most used palette at the moment. It is so full of neutrals and pink tones which is so up my street for both daily wear, and more evening glam! The shadows themselves are such a great formula, buttery, pigmented and blendable.

Benefit Gimme Brow (£22.50)
Another product I can’t believe I didn’t try earlier! This eyebrow gel is just perfect. It gives some hold and definition without making my eyebrows feel crunchy or crispy. I have mine in the shade 4.5 which is a quite dark shade. But there are lots of shades.

KVD Vegan Beauty Go Big Or Go Home (£20)
My favourite mascara at the moment is this KVD Vegan Beauty one. This gives me volume, length, flutter and curl! It gives me a little bit of everything, but nothing is TOO MUCH. This is one of the only mascaras that doesn’t smudge under my eye, or eye brow. It doesn’t crumble onto my face either. If you want a good ‘does it all’ mascara definitely have a look at this one.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour (£18.50)
I got a couple of these Clinique pop lipsticks early in the year and I have loved using them since! I have the pretty limited edition Christmas packaging from last year. These lipsticks give full colour in a moisturising velvety finish. If you’re looking for a comfortable lipstick which still can be bold then definitely check out the shade range!

That’s everything that I discovered in 2021 that made it into my favourites list! I hope you enjoyed this post/found it helpful. What have you enjoyed using this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Jazmin xx
