Empties #23

Hi everyone! How have you all been? Life is so busy right now, my little one is 6 months old so every day is go go go!! However, I wanted to share a new empties post (yes ANOTHER empties) whilst I’ve got a little time to sit down with a cup of tea & blog.

SKINCARE

Liz Earle Calming Botanical Drops (£25)

These have been in my skincare cupboard for a very long time with the tiniest bit in the bottom, however they’ve definitely expired so I thought it was time to pop them in an empties. I have a bad habit of doing this as I don’t want to use something up that I love. I really enjoyed using these drops when my skin felt irritated. They felt so nice and cooling to apply and I think they helped combat redness. They aren’t ‘necessary’ in a skincare routine so I do think they are a bit pricey, however if you have irritated skin then I think you’d enjoy this product! Repurchase? Maybe in the future

No.7 Melting Gel Cleanser £9.95

I recently dug this cleanser out with the aim to just get it used up before it expired. In my memory I wasn’t obsessed with it. However as I started to use it again I’ve basically fallen in love with it! At the moment my skin is really dry and actually quite sore sometimes due to that dryness. This cleanser is so gentle and nourishing and it’s just what my skin needs right now. Repurchase? I have done, the packaging has changed but I’m hoping the formula with be the same.

Too Faced Hangover Pillow Cream mini (£15)

I got this mini cream in a little set a while back. I wouldn’t say this cream is a favourite of mine, I find it doesn’t sink into the skin enough and almost just sits on the surface too much. I don’t think it is hydrating enough for me to use as a night time cream. I also think this is expensiveeee, £15 for a mini size seems a lot. Repurchase? No

ARK Skincare Age Protect Cleanser (£26)

I was gifted this cleanser quite a while back and it’s finally reached my empties. I’ve really got on with it! I used this as an ‘in shower’ cleanser as it’s a gel texture which ‘lathers’ up a little. However despite it being this texture, it definitely doesn’t dry the skin out. I think this a great cleanser for a normal skin type. Repurchase? Maybe at some point.

Origins Ginzing Eye Cream mini (£8.50)

When I got this eye cream I thought I’d really love it as I’m a big fan of the moisturiser in this Ginzing range. However this eye cream is just okay in my opinion. I don’t love it or hate it! My under eyes are so super dry and I think this just wasn’t quite hydrating enough for me. I do think this was quite a nice brightening option though, so if that’s what you’re looking for then you might like this. Repurchase? No

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser (£30)

As you will know if you’ve read my blog much in the past, this is one of my fave cleansers and it’s been in many of my empties posts. I love how gentle and nourishing it is on the skin whilst also leaving my face feeling lovely and clean. I have always continued to repurchase this cleanser, however I haven’t yet done so as I am enjoying the No.7 cleanser which is considerably cheaper, so I may stick with that one for a while! Repurchase? I’m sure I will eventually

Bare Minerals Butter Drench moisturiser (£29)

This is one of my all time favourite moisturisers as my skin is dry and this is super thick and creamy! If you like a thick heavy cream based moisturiser I really recommend giving this a go. Repurchase? When I’ve used up a couple moisturisers I already have.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Eye Mask (£3.49)

I used this Garnier mask a few nights back to give my eye area a bit of a boost. I like the feel of these little masks under my eyes as they’re super cooling and feel like rejuvenate the area a little! I don’t think they make a huge difference, but they’re a nice little treat to enjoy. Repurchase? Yes.

Nivea Original Lip Balm (£2.25)

I always have a simple lip balm on my nightstand to apply morning & night! I’m not super fussy on what I have, as long as it gets the job done. Repurchase? At some point I’m sure I will.

HAIR CARE

Batiste Dry Shampoo x3

I have three different dry shampoos here from Batiste, and they are always featured in my empties posts. It’s definitely a can’t live without product me for. Despite trying to use it less, I just can’t! My fine hair gets greasy too quick and having a baby now means I can’t wash it every single day. My favourite is the volume one as I do think it adds a little volume which is nice! But I will use any of them. Repurchase? Yes

Elvive Fibrology shampoo and conditioner (£6 each)

I used to use this one fairly regularly since it claims to be ‘thickening’. I’ve never really found it to be thickening, but it doesn’t weigh the hair down and it leaves it feeling clean, light & fresh. I picked this up when it was on offer and would do so again, however I do like to mix up what I’m using! Repurchase? At some point.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Shampoo (£27)

I tend to double shampoo when I wash my hair and I decided to treat myself to this Bumble and Bumble one for a second shampoo. It’s super nourishing and it smells so nice. It’s meant to be good for your hair as it contains some great oils. I love this shampoo as it feels abit indulgent, however £27 for a shampoo really is a lot of money so it’s going to be a rare treat, so I’m kinda sad to see this in my empties. Repurchase? Maybe one day!

MAKEUP

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer (£27)

As you may know if you’ve read my blog in the past, or even just my empties posts, this is my favourite concealer and really is a ride or die product for me. It’s creamy, got amazing coverage and doesn’t settle into my fine lines too badly. If you love full coverage but not too matte or drying; then you need to give this a go! Plus it is a big tube so it lasts a long time. Repurchase? Yes.

BECCA First Light Priming Filter mini

I’m so sad BECCA as a brand no longer exists. I really loved some of their products and this primer was no exception. I have a couple of these minis and I didn’t want to use them up since I can’t get this anymore, however I decided I better use them before they expire. This primer adds a lovely glow to my skin and a little hydration.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (£25)

I’ve used up a couple of these mascaras in the past so you’ve probably seen them appear in previously empties posts. This is one of my favourite high end mascaras – it gives me volume and length and it doesn’t smudge onto my skin under my eyebrows (this happens to me a lot with some mascara). However £25 is a lot for a mascara as I have some cheaper ones that work amazing too, so I tend to only buy this if it’s in a gift set as it often is and I love Too Faced makeup! Repurchase? Maybe

Tatti Lashes TL14 (£7.95)

Tatti lashes are my go to lash brand and I have quite a few different styles. I liked these ones for every day wear as they’re not as dramatic as some of the other styles. I find that you can reuse these lashes quite a few times if you take care of them before they need replacing. Repurchase? Yes

BODY CARE

XBC Coconut Water Foot Pack

I received this as a gift a little while back. I can’t find it online other than a multi buy on amazon. I love a foot mask personally, and this one was a great hydrating one and left my feet lovely and smooth! This would’ve been good for summer. Repurchase? If I see it in a shop

Clinique Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliator mini (£27.50 for full size)

This little Clinique body exfoliator came in a gift set. I really liked this and found it to be pretty exfoliating. The ‘beads’ in here were really fine so you could really get in there and scrub! I was sad when this was all gone. Repurchase? Well it is a lot of money for a body scrub but maybe if it was in a set!

Imperial Leather Shello Shower Gel (£1)

I like the use the Imperial Leather body wash as it’s affordable and they always smell so good! This one had super cute packaging too so you can’t go wrong. Repurchase? Yes if I see it again.

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter mini (£7)

I used up another one of these mini Shea body butters from TBS. I’m a big fan of TBS I find their products work and feel pretty luxurious. I like a thick body butter during the winter months so I enjoyed using this up. Repurchase? Maybe.

Femfresh Sensitive Body Wash (£2.75)

I started using Femfresh body wash during pregnancy, and it’s just something that’s stuck! I enjoy doing this as I feel like it’s a better way to prevent infections and keep clean too. Repurchase? Yes.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream (£7)

It looks as though you can’t purchase this exact product anymore however you can get the ‘almond milk’ range without the honey. I got this in a gift set at Christmas & I really liked this scent as it was mild and comforting. I liked the shower cream during the winter as it was super nourishing on the skin.

The Body Shop Almond Milk Body Yoghurt (£12)

I also got this in the same set as the body cream. I was excited to try the Body Yoghurts from TBS as it sounded like a nice texture. I loved how refreshing this was and it sank into the skin really quick leaving it hydrated. For a deeper moisture I definitely prefer the body butter however this is a lot better for those days when you just want something quicker that will sink in fast! Repurchase? Maybe – I have a different scent of this at the moment.

Re-Gen Oil (£5.99)

I used this oil on my bump whilst pregnant to try and help with stretch marks. This is basically the cheaper version of Bio-oil. I mean, I ended up with a lot of stretch marks however I don’t think anything can really prevent them. I have used this on the marks and slowly the redness is reducing, but I don’t know if this is down to the oil or just time passing. Repurchase? I do have another tube I’m using up at the moment.

OTHER

My Vitamins Coconut & Collagen Capsules (£8.99)

I picked these up after hearing good things about them, and as I was already taking the hair skin & nail gummies I thought these would complement those well. My hair has definitely grown and my skin seems slightly better too! Repurchase? Yes.

My Vitamins Hair Skin & Nails Gummies (£10.79)

I have been taking these gummies for a while now and I like taking them. I feel that they do help the things they should, and whilst I can’t pin it down to either these gummies or just the coconut & collagen capsules, I think they both work well together. Repurchase? Yes

Yankee Candle Clean Cotton (£29.99)

I went through a classic Yankee Candle in the clean cotton scent – one of my fave scents. I like fresh and clean scents. I don’t light candles as much as I used too since having a baby so it did take me a long time to use this up. Repurchase? I’m currently burning a ‘cherry blossom’ scented Yankee candle.

That’s all for this empties post – let me know in the comments if you enjoy empties posts & want me to continue creating them!

Jazmin xx
