Johnson’s ‘makeup be gone’ Refreshing wipes review

Hi everyone,

Today I wanted to post a review on one of my all time favourite skin care products: The Johnson’s makeup be gone wipes!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ve probably heard me speak about these before. Every time I mention them I seem to get questions and intrigue, so I thought I’d post a full review on them for anyone that’s interested.

Johnsons

Using a good quality face wipe to remove makeup is so important in terms of skin care. We’ve all bought a cheap pack of wipes for 50p/£1 because we can’t say no, but honestly I’ve come to realise this is such a mistake. Cheap wipes are very harsh on the skin and will not remove your makeup well. If you know where to look you can get amazing quality wipes (such as these Johnson’s ones) for a great price.
For a standard £3.05 they are pretty pricey, however I never actually buy them for that price. You can usually get 2 for 1 offers on them in places such as Wilkinson’s and Pound Land. They sometimes have them on offer in Superdrug too! This makes them around £1.50 per pack which is excellent value for me.
I have the Refreshing wipes which are aimed at normal skin. However there is also ‘Extra Sensitive wipes’, ‘Moisturising wipes for dry skin’, and ‘Pampering wipes’.

The wipes are saturated in liquid just the right amount. They aren’t too dry and scratchy on the skin and aren’t too wet to the point they drip everywhere. They are perfectly saturated and easily glide over the skin removing most (if not all depending on the foundation I am wearing) of my makeup.
I usually use a wipe and follow with a facial cleanser to clean my skin and remove any excess makeup that the wipe left behind. Sometimes, If I am getting home late I will just use the wipe and get straight in bed. With these wipes that is totally fine for a night in my opinion.
