Hey everyone,
How have you been?! I finally got another chance to play around with the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Zodiac palette and I just couldn’t not share the look I created because I love it so much! I’m not usually a warm tones kinda girl… I know that’s a little strange right, because EVERYONE loves warm tones, and I do love them!! But I tend to go for more neutral colours or cool tones, but since this palette has some absolutely stunning warm colours in it, I just had to have a go with them!
If you want to know how I created this look, just keep reading.
Step One – Base: I first used the Makeup Revolution Superfruit extract (£9.99) to prime my skin, making it more dewy and glowy. I then used the Real Techniques buffer brush with my Max Factor All Day Flawless Facefinity foundation (£12.99).
Step Two – Eyes: I added my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade (£19) and a Morphe angled brush and spoolie. I also added a small amount of dark brown eyeshadow into them in places to even the brow out. I used a Morphe small foundation brush to apply Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19) all over my lid. I set this with a cream coloured eyeshadow, then I went into the Colourpop Zodiac ($18). I first took the deep brown shade ‘The Virgo’ and applied it precisely into the crease of my eyelid with a Morphe s12 brush. I made sure to only do this on the outer half of my eye, dragging it down to the corner of my eye too. Once I had blended this out, I took the pale caramel brown shade ‘The Taurus’ and applied this more roughly onto the same area of my eye, bringing this one slightly more across towards the centre/inner part of my eyelid crease. Once I was happy with this, I used a Morphe s27 to blend out the edges with ‘The Libra’. Next I took ‘The Aries’ on my finger and applied it all over my lid, making this the star of the show! On my lower lash line I applied ‘The Taurus’ at the outer edges, and ‘The Aries’ on the centre/inner part. I used quite a lot of ‘The Leo’ on a pencil brush and applied it on my inner corner, bringing it slightly onto the eyelid and lower lash line.
For mascara I used the Maybelline Lash Sensational (£8.99) and I also added some Eyeronic lashes in the style Moana (£9.50)
Step Three – Finishing: I applied Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define concealer (£4) under my eyes, on my chin and down my nose blending it out with the Real Techniques buffer brush. I decided not to set my face today as my skin has been quite dry. I used the Zoeva Pro Spectrum Contour Palette (£15) to contour and bronze with the Wet n Wild contour brush. I used Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (£10) with a Real Techniques contour brush. I then went into the Laura Geller Dripping in Gold Illuminator palette (£25) and applied a mixture of French Fizz and Molten Copper on the high points of my face using a Morphe s26 brush.
To complete the look I applied NYX Sweet Château lip lingerie lipstick in the shade Bottoms Off, and added some Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in the shade Candy Queen.
And that’s everything! What do you think of the finished look? I really love it & it’s actually so simple to do.
