e.l.f Camo CC Cream | Review

Hi everyone, how are you all? I hope you’re all well & ready to take on a new month! I will share my February favourites some time soon, but for today I am going to be reviewing the new and popular e.l.f Camo CC Cream. This is a newer launch from the brand and so many people have been speaking about it. I’ve seen quite a few videos all about this one on YouTube, and I even made my own, so if you’d like to see this CC Cream in action then feel free to check out my wear test video here!

OVERVIEW

This e.l.f Camo CC Cream costs £14 which is quite pricey for a drugstore brand such as e.l.f, but it is still more affordable than high end brands. There are 20 different shades, which isn’t an amazing shade range, but it does appear to cover a decent range of skin tones.

e.l.f claim that this Camo CC Cream will give you full coverage, whilst also achieving a natural looking complexion. This contains collagen, peptides & niacinamide which will plump, hydrate and smooth the skin, so this ‘foundation’ also provides skin care benefits. This also has SPF 30 which is great (but remember, still use an SPF underneath!).

The packaging looks nice. It is a squeezy tube but with a pump, which is ideal for me! It reminds me of the Fenty Hydrating foundation. It also came in a box.

REVIEW

I got the shade 120 N which appears to be the lightest shade on offer. Although I am fair, I’m not usually the lightest shade, so if you are particularly fair then this product might not be for you unfortunately. I would love if e.l.f would add a few more shades to their range.
On first application I did think this shade may be too light for me, but once it was blended out it matched me well.

The consistency of this is pretty thick and creamy. However, once blended out it doesn’t feel or look heavy on the skin. Although this definitely feels like a full coverage foundation, I can see it is a CC Cream because I can see those colour correcting properties doing their job – this literally blanked out all the redness on my skin and completely covered it (check out my video linked above to see the magic). I was so happy with the coverage and the feel of this e.l.f Camo CC Cream.

I would agree with e.l.f that this gives a natural finish – almost like a semi-matte but with slightly more of a ‘glow’. I think this could work well for all skin types, as long as you use an appropriate primer/powder/setting spray!

This lasted well throughout the day and I was still happy with it 8 hours later when I conducted my wear test for my video. It did gather around the nose a little after this amount of time, but it still looked nice. I also noticed that it had begun to separate a little on my chin. It was nothing too bad but I still wanted to mention it.

Overall, I am very pleased with this e.l.f Camo CC Cream and it has fast become one of my favourite drugstore ‘foundations’. I reach for it quite a lot and it even lasts well under a mask (as long as it’s not on all day). I could definitely see myself repurchasing this.

Have you tried this one out yet? Do you plan on doing so? Let me know in the comments below, and thanks so much for reading.

I was also pleasantly surprised by this! It’s a great product for the price. Could definitely consider it a dupe for the IT Cosmetics CC Cream.

See I wasn’t a huge fan of the IT one! But it’s been ages since I tried it so my opinion could’ve changed xx

This sounds like such a nice product and it looks amazing on you! It’s a shame about the shade range though, it’s so disappointing if this is the lightest shade x

Yeah the shade range definitely needs to be improved! I hope they make a few more shades so you can hopefully find a match x
